GEM was started in 1994 by Marc Ginsburg.  Marc started as staff accountant at Grant Thornton in Chicago and then ran their Computer Audit Department.  Shortly after leaving Grant Thornton, Marc started GEM.

There’s a reason GEM has been around since 1994: We stand behind our work and put our customers’ needs first. That’s also why we still serve the first clients we started out with, and it’s why most of our clients have been with us for more than a decade.
